New API Continuous Manufacturing Facility
Cheshire Scientific Services were contracted from construction phase through to beneficial release of a new modular Continuous Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing facility according to draft standards of Namur NE 148, VDI/VDE/Namur 2658, and ICH_Q13. This modular continuous manufacture plant is at the cutting edge of manufacturing technology and required bespoke GxP documentation preparation, review & execution of both mechanical and computerised system governance, commissioning and qualification deliverables, Cheshire Scientific Services assisted in the delivery of over 50 new modular type process (MTP) equipment using embedded and distributed control system (DCS) DeltaV software for the implementation of a new GMP continuous API manufacturing facility for their global pharmaceutical client, allowing them to benefit of supply chain reassurance and allowing access to chemistry not permitted under normal manufacturing processes.
